A 53-year-old woman with end-stage renal impairment on hemodialysis was evaluated for recurrent episodes of Corynebacterium jeikeium bacteremia and endocarditis. Her recurrences occurred despite surgical debridement and extended courses of culture-directed antimicrobial therapy.
